چکیده

The present work deals with steady state air flow analysis of electric motor having 20 hp rating running at 1450 rpm. is being used to run the belt pull system drive exhaust fan in industry. Air carried out predict temperature distribution over motor. modeling complete done CATIA. Meshing whole geometry ICEM CFD14.5. Results are obtained using FLUENT. In this research only copper losses and iron taken into consideration based on output from electrical simulation software. found electromagnetic Motorsolve Losses treated as heat source or input find distribution. To improve accuracy, computational fluid dynamics (CFD) performed by considering around casing fins thermal generation due losses. It observed that there a significant rise for 30 °C ambient temperature.
